O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Foreman of the respondent Transport Corporation, who had attained superannuation on 31.07.2014, seeking a Mandamus to disburse the difference in gratuity amount along with 6% interest.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his two year training period has not taken into consideration while calculating gratuity amount. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 07.12.2024 seeking to reckon the said period also for calculating gratuity. Since the said request has not been considered, the instant writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks 2/4

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case, any payment is made, the same shall carry interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of disbursement.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
