O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a Mandamus to pay the pension arrears relating to the month of April, 2023, based upon his representation dated 13.11.2024.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had attained superannuation on 31.03.2023 and he underwent by-pass surgery on 09.04.2023, in Apollo Hospital at Trichirappalli. In view of the admission in the hospital, the petitioner could not sign the relevant papers to receive his pension. Hence, his pension was disbursed only from May 2023. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 13.11.2023 seeking for payment of monthly pension for the month of April 2023. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the monthly pension of the writ petitioner for the month of April 2023, if it is not already released.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
