Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the cultural Programme (ie.,) Adal Padal Dance Programme on 07.02.2022 at 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm in the festival of Arulmigu Sri Patta Karuppasamy Thirukovil at Viralimayanpatti, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District and to provide necessary Police Protection.

ORDER

The petitioner wants this Court to direct the first respondent to permit him to conduct the petition mentioned event. 2.The petitioner asserts that there is no communal angle. The first respondent is therefore directed to grant permission to the petitioner to hold the petition mentioned event. It is open to the first respondent to incorporate appropriate conditions for ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner through his counsel gives an undertaking that the organizers of the event will adhere to the police directives. Though the petitioner wants to hold the event after 10.00 PM, the counsel for the petitioner undertakes to conclude the event by 10.00 PM.

3. Recording the said undertaking, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
