Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to produce the body or person of the detenue, the petitioner's daughter, namely, Ishwaryalakshmi, D/o.Jeyaram, aged about 23 years from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue, the petitioner's daughter, namely, Ishwaryalakshmi, D/o.Jeyaram, aged about 23 years, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent before this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the marriage between the petitioner's daughter and one, Venugopal was fixed on 27.01.2020. While arrangements were made, his daughter was found missing on 30.01.2020. The petitioner has given a complaint to the respondent police in this regard and since no action has been taken by the respondent police, the present petition has been filed.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2184 of 2020 daughter namely, Ishwaryalakshmi, aged 23 years, had married the third respondent. The second respondent had conducted an enquiry and during the enquiry the alleged detenue had informed that her marriage was fixed against her wish and therefore she eloped with the third respondent and have got married on 31.01.2020. He would further submit that the petitioner is well aware of the same. The second respondent also called the parents of both parties and enquiry was conducted at the second respondent police station and thereafter, the complaint has been closed.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
