ORDER

This petition is filed to transfer the investigation to the third respondent for conducting fair and impartial investigation in Crime No.88 of 2019 on the file of the respondent No.2.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is functioning as a Supervisor under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme at Ramaiyanpatti Village. She faces huge problem from the husband of one Revathi, who is the Panchayat Secretary of the Ramaiyanpatti Village. She has preferred a complaint against him, yet the police remained https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

unmoved. Finally, they have registered a case one under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act and Section 506 (I) IPC. Now, he seeks transfer of this litigation as the concerned police is hand in glove with Revathi's husband.

4. The major allegation is that the Revathi's husband tries to sexually exploit the women workers working under the above said scheme and that the third respondent is shielding the same.

5. In view of the nature of the allegation made, this Court now directs the Additional Superintendent of Police, Madurai District, to expedite the investigation in this matter and take to its logical end without any let and strictly in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
