The petitioner / defacto complainant has approached this Court as against the closure report filed by the Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Thoothukudi Thoothukudi District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the investigation officer has come to a conclusion that it is a case of cheating, the respondent police, after registering the case, referred the petitioner to approach the civil Court.

3. Since the closure report has already been filed before the competent authority, the petitioner has to approach the concerned Magistrate by filing protest petition, if he is aggrieved. 2/4

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a protest petition before the concerned Magistrate.
