O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue the computerized patta to the petitioner in respect of the property comprised in Survey No. 1980/5 to an extent of 0.81.0 Ares situated at D.Edaiyapatti West, Kadavoor Taluk, Karur District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.01.2024 to the respondents seeking computerized patta in her name in respect of the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law. 2/5

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The third respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. There shall be no order as to costs.
