ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.291 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case has been referred as "Action Dropped".

4. To this, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner refuted the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 5.1. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned Magistrate Court and the Magistrate may entertain his protest after verifying that if the referred charge sheet has been filed on his record. If however the copy of the referred charge sheet is not so laid, the respondent police is directed to lay the same, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.2. If the Investigating Officer does not file the final report before the concerned Magistrate within the time stipulated, the Investigating Officer shall pay a coast of Rs.1,000/- [Rupees https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

One Thousand only] to the credit of the District Legal Services Authority, Thirunelveli District.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
