This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.01.2022 and to find out the involvement of the petitioner's husband, namely, Pandi, in the case registered in Crime No.19 of 2022, on the file of the second respondent police by verifying the CCTV footage of the camera fixed in the second respondent police station, on 28.01.2022.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the records.

3.According to the petitioner, her husband was illegally detained in the second respondent police station on 28.01.2022 from 04.30 a.m. When the petitioner asked about her husband release, they informed that he was already remanded to the judicial custody. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD) No.2282 of 2022 Later, the petitioner came to understand that the second respondent registered the FIR in Crime No.19 of 2022 against her husband alleging that he attempted to commit robbery from one Ariyamuthu on 28.01.2022 at about 9. 30 a.m., whereas he was taken from her house at about 04.30 a.m itself. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to verify the CCTV Footage, dated 28.01.2022, located in the second respondent police station, for fair investigation. 4.Considering the request made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to engage the competent person to verify the CCTV Footage, dated 28.01.2022, located in the second respondent police station and to preserve the same for investigation purpose. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
