The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Government servant seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent herein to consider the representation dated 17.01.2025.

A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was admitted in Meenakshi Super Specialist Hospital on 05.08.2024 and by way of Laparoscopic operation on 08.08.2024, the petitioner's Gallbladder was removed. The petitioner had incurred a sum of Rs.2,00,536/- towards the medical expenses. The Insurance Company has reimbursed only a sum of Rs.55,062/- to the writ petitioner and the prayer for releasing the balance amount has been rejected. Under such circumstances, the petitioner has given a representation on 17.01.2025 to the first respondent to release the balance amount.

3. The facts captured above will clearly indicate that the first respondent Insurance Company has reimbursed only a sum of Rs.55,062/- and has not released the balance amount. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach only the Grievance Redressal Officer and the District Level Empowerment Committee for releasing the balance amount. In such circumstances, no purpose would be served in directing the Insurance Company to consider the representation of the writ petitioner.

In view of the above said deliberations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Grievance Redressal Officer and the District Level Empowerment Committee for redressal of her grievances.
