(Crime No.17 of 2019) : Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.17 of 2019 dated 31.01.2019 for the offences under Section 306 IPC from the file of the second respondent to the file of the first respondent himself or to any other investigating agency under the supervision of the first respondent and to file the final report thereon, before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Valliyoor Tirunelveli District within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.17 of 2019 dated 31.01.2019 to file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the accused, having already married, has married the petitioner's daughter without disclosing his first marriage. When the same came to know there arose problem between the petitioner's daughter and her husband and the daughter of the petitioner committed suicide and based on the complaint given by the petitioner the case came to be registered under Section 306 IPC.

4. This Court merely modifies the relief sought and directs the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Valliyoor to monitor the course of investigation.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
