Today the matter is listed under the caption for extension of time. 2.The CRP(MD).No.206 of 2022 was originally dismissed of by this Court by the order dated 28.10.2024. While disposing the revision petition, this Court directs the trial Court to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.118 of 2018 within a period of nine months from the next date of hearing. 3.Now letter has been received from the trial Court seeking further extension of time of 6 months, citing various reasons. In the above said letter, it is stated that the Honourable Supreme Court of India, New Delhi has also been directed the trial Court to dispose of the suit as expeditiously. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the case is listed on day to day basis, the defendants are not co-operating to complete the trial and effectively preventing the Court to complete the trial.
5.Considering the reasons cited by the trial Court, this Court is inclined to grant further time of six months to dispose of the suit. Accordingly, six months time is granted to the learned District Judge, Karur to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.118 of 2018 pending on his file. It is made clear that no further time will be granted to the trial Court. The trial Court shall conclude the trial process within the time prescribed and dispose of the suit. 20.02.2026 TM Note:
