On request of the life convict, who is the petitioner herein, the prison authorities have granted 30 days ordinary leave and he is enjoying the leave as on date. The said leave expires on 09.02.2023. While on leave, he has made a request for extension of leave period which has been rightly rejected by the authorities. Challenging the said rejection order, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. On perusing the averments made in the affidavit and the impugned order, this Court finds no error or illegality in the order. If at all the petitioner is eligible for any further leave as per the prison manual, he can make a fresh representation for granting ordinary leave. On such representation, the authorities can independently apply the rules governing ordinary leave and consider it within a reasonable time.
