ORDER

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to give permission and protection for Cultural Programme scheduled to be held on 14.02.2021 in connection with Sri Arulmigu Muthumariamman Thirukovil Thaipoosa Urchava Festival at Thirupaingeely post, Mannachannallur Taluk, Trichy District.

3. Mr.R.Saravana Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that no representation was received from the petitioner.

4. In such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh petition before the District Collector, Trichy District, and on receipt of the same, the District Collector, Trichy District, shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders based on findings and on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.
