ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct to the 1st respondent to consider and pass suitable orders in accordance with law on the petitioner's representations dated 07.12.2023 and 23.01.2024 with regard to conducting an enquiry into the illegal transfer of Patta No.1546, Singampunari South Revenue Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District in favour of the 3rd respondent within the stipulated time.

2. Mr.SRA. Ramachandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed, protecting the interest of the respondents 3 and 4, notice to them is dispensed with. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given representations dated 07.12.2023 and 23.01.2024 to the first respondent requesting him to conduct an enquiry on the illegal transfer of patta. Since the said representations are pending, the petitioner has come before this Court. He would further submit that it would suffice if the representations of the petitioner is disposed of by the first respondent, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representations of the petitioner and other appropriate documents will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners in this Writ Petition, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representations of the petitioner, dated 07.12.2023 and 23.01.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of eighteen

(18) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
