Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondents to provide urgent and adequate police protection to his and life and limp, persons, and properties. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to provide urgent and adequate police protection to the petitioner and his persons and properties and take action against the miscreants.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he is running a Holiday Resort under the name and style of 'Park View Residency' in Kodaikanal over the past 20 years vide a lease agreement dated 22.01.1999. On 25.04.2019 eight unknown persons impersonating themselves as Income Tax Officials had caused serious threat to the petitioner. Then the petitioner has given a complaint before the third respondent police, but no action has been taken by the respondent police. Subsequent to that those persons once again causing trouble to the petitioner. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

respondents, on instructions, would submit that pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioner, now the respondent police have conducted investigation and summons were also issued to the petitioner, but the petitioner did not appear for enquiry and not co-operating with the police. Hence, the respondent police is not in a position to proceed with the investigation. 4.Mr.M.J.Shabu Jose, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the summon was not issued to the petitioner and the petitioner always willing to appear for enquiry. 5.I have heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police for enquiry and co-operate with third respondent police for conducting the investigation.
