The petitioner seeks production of her husband Manickaraj, aged 42 years.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. According to the petitioner, her husband went missing on 05.12.2020. A complaint was lodged on 21.12.2020 and the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.412 of 2020 as "Man Missing". Complaining inaction on the part of the respondent Police, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

H.C.P.(MD) No.189 of 2022 Prosecutor, upon instructions, would submit that the respondent Police are taking every earnest efforts to secure the detenu.
5. According to the Police that he is a physically challenged person and he has been found to be roaming in and around the streets of Tiruchendur. The status report filed by the respondent Police demonstrates that they have taken earnest efforts and despite their earnest efforts, the detenu could not be traced out. The respondent Police also suspect that some misunderstanding in the family that had led to the detenu walking out of the house.
6. In these circumstances, we do not see any case of illegal detention involved and hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, with a direction to the respondent Police to continue the investigation to its logical conclusion.
