The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to provide adequate police protection for Guru Pooja of Shree Sadhu Dharma Saraswathi Swamigal to be conducted on 08.02.2020, based on the representation given by the petitioner, dated 05.02.2020.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that for conducting Guru Pooja on 08.02.2020 the petitioner has given a representation only on 05.02.2020. She would further submit that there are civil disputes pending between the petitioner and one Sri Shanmuga Seva Sanga Nattar Trust and without ascertaining the nature of the dispute https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No. 2463 of 2020 between the parties, the respondent police cannot consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.02.2020. She would further submit that, if the petitioner will appear before the respondents for enquiry, a suitable steps will be taken after conducting enquiry with regard to the representation of the petitioner.
3. In view of the same, the writ Petition is disposed of with direction to the petitioner to approach the second respondent police. The second respondent police shall conduct an enquiry, in respect of the petitioner's representation, dated 05.02.2020 and pass an order in accordance with law. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
