ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The petitioner is a cultivator, who is aggrieved by a policy decision of the Government not to procure Jothi paddy. This decision was taken by the Government as early as in the year 2022. In spite of the same, the petitioner had cultivated this variety of paddy and now, seeks Mandamus to the Government to procure the said variety of paddy.

3.Procurement of paddy with minimum price is a policy decision by the State, which cannot be interfered by the Court, unless and until such a decision is discrimination in nature and violation of the Constitution. In the case in hand, there is no such violation. Hence, Mandamus, compelling the Government to

procure the particular variety of paddy, cannot be issued. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
