O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to cancel the UDR Patta on the name of the third and fourth respondents herein and further direct the second respondent herein to issue the Patta to the petitioner with regard to property in Survey No.858/13B, 867/10, 863/4A, 863/6A, 854/3A, 855/1A, 855/5A, 851/2B, 907/1 and 907/7A situated at Melapaguthi Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District, in the light of the Will dated 22.10.1969 as well as based on the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.12.2023 to the respondents seeking cancellation of UDR patta issued in favour of the respondents 4 and 4 in respect of the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The first respondent is further directed to afford a 3/6
