The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for a direction directing the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the electoral roll of 2022 and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to file the nomination for contesting the local body election in Ward No.9, Pambaripuram, Kodaikanal Municipality.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing on either side would submit that the relief sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.
