O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioner is to initiate contempt proceedings for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court on 22.10.2024 in W.P(MD).No.25046 of 2024. By the said order, the Block Development Officer and the President were directed to conduct a survey and find out whether there are any encroachments over the petitioner's land.

2. When the contempt was taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents has produced a report of the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram, in Na.Ka.No.m7/98/2024, dated 10.02.2025, to the effect that the order has been complied with by conducting the survey on 07.02.2025.

3. Though there is some delay in compliance with the order, as the survey has been completed, I am not inclined to initiate contempt. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed. This order will not stand in the 2/4

way of the petitioner to initiate appropriate proceedings, if he is still aggrieved by the report of the Tahsildar.
