[Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.] The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned order passed by the second respondent in Se.Mu.A.No.X3/578/2022 dated 05.01.2024 and for a consequential direction to the second respondent to form the direct purchase centre at Keelaparuthiyur Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.
2.The grievance of the petitioner was that there was a 'Direct Purchase Centre' [in short, 'DPC'], which was established and functioning at Keelaparuthiyur Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, from the year 2024. Every year, depending upon the need, the District Collector would open the DPC and accordingly, in Keelaparuthiyur Village, consecutively from the year 2024, till 2026, DPC was opened and functioning. Therefore, the apprehension made by the petitioner based on the order passed by the District Collect with regard to allotment of DPC to various villages and to quash the said order has become infructuous. 3.Insofar as W.M.P.(MD)No.4212 of 2024, is concerned, this has been filed by the petitioner in the impleading petition, namely Navaneetha Krishnan, who also belongs to the same village ie.
, hamlet of Pulavar Velankudi Village, which comes under Keelaparuthiyur Village and in that Pulavar Velankudi Village, there was a DPC in the year 2024. Subsequently, depending upon the need, the District Collector decided not to have the DPC in Pulavar Velankudi Village in 2025. However, it has again been opened in 2026.
Pulavar Velankudi Village, in order to thwart that attempt, he has come up with the impleading petition.
4.Now, the issue raised by both the writ petitioner as well as the present impleading petitioner, since has been resolved as consequently, the DPC has been opened in Keelaparuthiyur and in Pulavar Velankudi in the year 2024, not opened in 2025 and again opened in 2026, therefore, as of now, both of them may not have any grievance. Therefore, no more issue is pending either in the Writ Petition or in the impleading petition to be adjudicated. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed, recording the aforesaid developments.
5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, all connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
