This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the patta in Patta No.1318 in Survey No.413/3 in DK No.581/14 to an extent of 2.37 cents situated in Varakuppai Village, Lalkudi Taluk, Trichy District, wrongly issued in the name of the fifth to seventh respondents on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.12.2023 to the respondents seeking cancellation of patta issued wrongly in favour of the respondents 5 to 7 in respect of the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The third respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, respondents 5 to 7 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
