Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's representation, dated 16.01.2025, for issuance of genuineness certificate for the petitioner's Natham Patta in Patta No.261 and determining the guideline value of the petitioner's land.

ORDER

With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks limited relief of a direction to the second respondent to issue genuineness certificate.

3. According to the petitioner, his registration, dated 11.09.2024, has been put on hold for want of genuineness certificate and also for want of guideline value being determined for the purpose of payment of stamp duty and registration fee.

4. The second respondent is, therefore, directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 16.01.2025, and issue genuineness certificate, if the petitioner is entitled thereto, and also fix the guideline value for the subject property being transferred under the settlement deed, which has been presented for registration. The said exercise shall be concluded within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 04.02.2025 NCC :
