ORDER

Seeking to transfer the investigation in Crime No.36 of 2025 pending on the file of forth respondent to the third respondent police, this criminal original petition is filed.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant, on whose instance, the first information report in Crime No.36 of 2025 came to be registered by the fourth respondent for the offences under Sections 318(1) and 318(4) of BNS, 2023, with respect to defrauding huge amount of Rs.65,00,000/-. However, no progress has been made in the investigation. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions submitted that after registering the FIR, the bank statements of the petitioner and the accused persons were obtained and it was stated that the entire amount deposited by the petitioner was with his consent.

4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to conclude the investigation in Crime No.36 of 2025, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The fourth respondent is further directed to appraise the progress in the investigation to the first respondent every weekend. The first respondent is directed to monitor the ongoing investigation which is undertaken by the fourth respondent.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
