JUDGMENT

[Judgment of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.T.Ponramkumar, learned counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent.

2.The State is on Appeal. The appointment of the 1st respondent as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the 2nd respondent School with effect from 02.04.2019, was not approved on the ground that she has not obtained Teacher Eligibility Test qualification. Admittedly, the 2nd respondent is a Minority Institution, this Court has consistently held that Teacher Eligibility Test qualification is not necessary for being appointed as Teacher in Minority Institutions. The Writ Court has also taken note of the said position of law and after quashing the orders refusing to approve, has directed grant of approval.

3.We see no reason to interfere with the order of the Writ Court. The authorities will approve the appointment of the 1st respondent as Secondary Grade Teacher and also pay her salary and other attendant benefits with effect from the date of her appointment till date of payment within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If the amount is not paid within 12 weeks, the authorities will pay 12% interest from the
