ORDER

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 19.02.2021 and 20.02.2021 at Kaliamman Kovil Thidal, TN Pudukudi, Puliyangudi, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District.

3. Mr.R.Saravana Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2021 was rejected by the respondents citing the present Covid-19 pandemic situation. However, he would submit that since certain relaxations are made by the Government in the subsequent Government Orders, the petitioner may be directed to file a fresh https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.2711 of 2021 representation before the District Collector, Tenkasi District, who is the competent authority to pass appropriate orders. 4.Considering the said submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the petitioner, if so advised, can file a fresh petition before the District Collector, Tenkasi District, and on receipt of the same, the District Collector, Tenkasi District, shall consider and pass appropriate orders based on findings and on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of representation of the petitioner.

5. With the above observation, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
