Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to recover the compensation amount of Rs.6,26,763/- together with 12 percent interest for the period from 12.3.2012 as per the certificate dated 30.7.2019 issued by the 1st respondent in pursuance of the award dated 2.4.2018 in EC.No.72/2014 from the 3rd respondent within a stipulated time.

ORDER

Alleging non compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 16.03.2020 in W.P(MD)No.4155/2020, this contempt petition has been filed.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the contemnor would state that except the interest amount, the entire amount has been deposited to the credit of the claim petition and he would pray four weeks time for depositing the interest amount. CONT.P(MD)No.274 of 2021 3.Recording the above submission, this contempt petition is closed. The learned Judge shall dispose of the application for release of the deposited amount within a period of two weeks from the date of filing. In the event of non payment of the interest amount within the above stipulated time, the petitioners are at liberty to re-open the contempt.
