O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a Medical Officer seeking a Mandamus as against the second respondent to consider his representation dated 27.11.2024.

2. A perusal of the representation reveals that the petitioner has applied for the post of Medical Officer, to serve in Urban Health Wellness Centre and according to him, he is in seniority No.1. The petitioner further submits that the Government has opened a Urban Health Wellness Centre at Vadiveeswaram and therefore, he has made a representation to the second respondent to accommodate him in the said Urban Health Wellness Centre.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents herein by relying upon the communication of the Deputy Director of Health Services dated 21.02.2024, contended that out of 10 Urban Health Wellness Centres, the Government has granted permission to open only 5 of them. In case, if the Government grants permission to open the balance 5 Urban Health Wellness Centres, the request of the petitioner would be considered on merits. 2/4

4. In view of the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.11.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
