PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the first respondent to expedite the proceeding under Na.Ka.No.3776/A4/2025, which is on the file of the first respondent, relating to the petitioner`s application under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and for consequential orders.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus by the senior citizen seeking mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of his application filed under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents also acknowledges the fact that such an application is pending.

3. Considering the above facts, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
