Side) Prayer: To issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct a fair and expeditious investigation and to take appropriate criminal action against Nallathambi @ Parthiban, Papathi @ Petchiammal, Periyaraman, Chinnaraman, and others for offences punishable under the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, 1/4

and other applicable penal provisions based on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.01.2025 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct a fair and expeditious investigation and to take appropriate criminal action against Nallathambi @ Parthiban, Papathi @ Petchiammal, Periyaraman, Chinnaraman, and others for offences punishable under the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and other applicable penal provisions based on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.01.2025 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents had taken up the complaint and closed the same. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a 60% disabled person. The alleged accused had taken the petitioner's property on lease, but subsequently evicted the petitioner, and now he is on the streets.

3. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to require the petitioner's complaint dated 21.01.2025 and take action, as per law, forthwith. 2/4

4. With these directions, this Writ petition is disposed of . No Costs. 05-02-2026 KSA To
