ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.

2. The petitioner is an aspirant for the post of Village Assistant in the petition mentioned village. The petitioner took part in the selection process. He was not successful. Instead the second respondent was selected and appointed. Her appointment is questioned primarily on the ground that she is not scheduled caste.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would contend that the petition mentioned post has been reserved for scheduled caste community.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader produced the copy of the community certificate of the second respondent. It indicates that Kokila / selected candidate belongs to Hindu Pallan community. It is a notified scheduled caste. There is also no merit in the other ground raised by the petitioner that the second respondent is also resident of Iluppur Taluk. 2/4

5. Thus, both the grounds do not survive. The Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 03.04.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No rmi To The Tahsildar, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District.
