RESPONDENT/COMPLAINANT For Petitioner : M/S R.SRINIVASAN Advocate For Respondent : K.ANBARASAN, Government Advocate ( Crl. Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused No.6, in Crime No.22 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 417, 418, 420 and 506(i) IPC and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused promised to get admission for the defacto complainant's son in Indra Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute at Pondichery. On the said promise, the defacto complainant gave a sum of Rs.26,05,000/-. They also paid a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the agents who are all accused.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged in the complaint and he is an Assistant to the Director of Indra Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute at Pondichery viz., Jeyakumar who is arrayed as A.5 and there is no specific overt act as against this petitioner and the petitioner has not involved in the alleged offence. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that the investigation is pending and the offence is

related to an admission in the Medical College and hence, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary. He further submitted that if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, he will tamper the witnesses and investigation.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
