[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner has come forward with this habeas corpus petition seeking direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to produce his wife, namely, Ishwarya, aged about 20 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

2.The petitioner would state that he is B.E., Graduate and a business man. He fell in love with detenue and eventually, the marriage was performed on 24.05.2020 with the consent of his family members. It is also stated that the detenue became pregnant, while so, on 01.02.2021 when she had gone to her parents house to attend the marriage of her own sister, she was detained therein by her mother and her relatives. Hence, he made a complaint to the respondents 1 & 2 on 07.02.2021, since no action was taken, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.P.Gunasekaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dinesh Babu, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the detenue along with her mother, the third respondent herein, appeared through Video Conferencing. On enquiry, she stated that she is studying III year B.Com., in Meenakshi Chandrasekar College at Karambai and the petitioner is running a computer centre. She further stated that she has not married the petitioner and now she is residing with her mother, the third respondent herein, and her father is in abroad. According to her, she is not illegally detained by the respondents.

5. In the light of the above statement, this habeas corpus petition is closed and the detenue is set her at liberty.
