PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondent No.1 to issue passport to the petitioner and pass such other or further orders as this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for issuance of the passport based upon his application dated 21.01.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.508 of 2023 on the file of the third respondent herein which has culminated in filing of a chargesheet in S.T.C.No. 1027 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of 2/4

four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
