ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2025 in the light of the report of the Tahsildar, Karambakudi in Na.Ka.No.A4/3393/2025 dated 01.09.2025.

2.The learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner's complaint was already enquired and the same was closed.

3.However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in pursuance of the communication dated 21.07.2025, the Revenue Tahsildar, Karambakudi, has stated that the present pattathar namely, Palaniyayee is not a legal heir of the original settlement.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the rival claimant has produced the sale deed but, the said sale deed could not have been executed since the Patta stands in the name of the petitioner's ancestors. 5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and perused the materials available on records.

6.Recording the submissions on either side, the respondents are directed to verify how the rival claimant executed the sale deed without any supporting documents and, if any criminal offence is made out, to take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, the petitioner is also directed to approach the Civil Court. The petitioner is further directed to produce all relevant documents before the respondent Police and to cooperate with the investigation.

7.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
