Respondents PRAYER :-Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent-District Registrar, Periyakulam, Theni District, to dispose of the appeal petition filed by the petitioners against the order dated 12.12.2025 passed by the 2nd respondent, - Sub Registrar, Chinnamanur, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent-District Registrar, Periyakulam, Theni District, to dispose of the appeal petition filed by the petitioners against the order dated 2/5

12.12.2025 passed by the 2nd respondent, - Sub Registrar, Chinnamanur, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the stage of admission itself. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the private respondent, notice is dispensed with.

3. The petitioners preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent against the order of the 2nd respondent. However, the same is pending so far. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader would fairly submit that the appeal would be disposed of within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the said submission, without going into the merits or the contentions of the petitioners and the grounds raised in the appeal 3/5

preferred by the petitioners, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
