ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to expedite the disposal of the petitioner's petition in Na.Ka.No.B10/48332/2025, dated 24.12.2025, pending before the first respondent to issue Patta for the property situated at S.No.634/2, in Rameshwaram Group, Vethaalai Village, Ramanathapuram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 3 to 10, notice to the respondents 3 to 10 is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the subject property is ancestral in nature. However, the entire extent of the property has been unlawfully transferred in favour of third parties without the consent or knowledge of the father-in-law of the petitioner namely, Samsudin Lebai. Therefore, the petitioner approached the first respondent and submitted a petition seeking to declare the said illegal transfer as null and void and to restore the joint patta. However, till date, no enquiry has been conducted, and the said petition has been kept pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition seeking the relief stated supra.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner's petition will be considered and appropriate orders

will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's petition, dated 24.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 3 to 10 and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
