O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the case in Crime No.478 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent Police. 2.It is seen that the alleged offences attributed against the petitioner are under Sections 294(b), 354, 506(i)IPC and Section 4 of TNPWH Act.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner and the 2nd respondent appeared in person before this Court and their identification is also verified by this Court and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that since the matter has been compromised between them, the 2nd respondent agreed to withdraw the above said case in Crime No.478 of 2015 pending on the file of the 1st respondent Police.

4.Considering the nature of allegation and also considering the memo of compromise, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. Therefore, the entire proceedings in Crime No.478 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent Police in respect of the petitioner herein, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly.
