Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the first respondent to give appropriate protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 02.05.2019.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to give appropriate protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that due to the property dispute, respondents 2 and 3 have attacked the petitioner. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a crime has been registered in Crime No.51 of 2019 by the first respondent police. Pending investigation, once again, the respondents 2 and 3 have threatened the petitioner to withdraw the complaint for which they have given life threat to the petitioner. In the said circumstances, the petitioner gave an another complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District on 02.05.2019. The said complaint was also forwarded to the first respondent police. So far, no action has been taken by the respondent police and hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3.Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that the complaint given by the petitioner is under enquiry and the respondent police will complete the enquiry soon.
