ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for an alleged offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 294(b) and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.9 of 2014, seek anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent.
3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners have demanded dowry from the de facto complainant and also threatened her.
4. A report received from the Mediation Centre shows that the de facto complainant has not chosen to appear before the Mediators.
5. Under such circumstances, I am of the opinion that it is a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the learned Judicial Magistrate,Keeranoor on condition that each of the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) each with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the respondent police or the police officer who intends to arrest or to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that:
[a] the first petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation. [b] the petitioners shall not tamper with evidence or witness either during investigation or trial.
[c] the petitioners shall not abscond either during investigation or trial.
