PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to expedite the trial in STC No.112 of 2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to expedite the trial in STC No.112 of 2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is pending from the year 2021 without any progress due to the present covid-19 pandemic situation.

3. Under such circumstances , there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to dispose the case pending in STC No.112 of 2021 within a period of twelve months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and report compliance to this court after completion of the proceedings.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
