PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent to not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent to not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are major and they fell in love with each other and got married on 02.02.20 at Karivalamvanthanallur against the wishes of the second petitioner's parents. However with the help of police the father of the second petitioner is harassing them. He would also submit that the petitioners are apprehending harassment and physical abuse by the police . He would also submit that a direction may be issued to the respondent police to ensure safety to the petitioners during enquiry.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that one Subbaiah has given complaint stating that his daughter Rajeswari/second petitioner was missing and based on which a case in Crime No.2 of 2020 has been registered by the respondent police under the caption 'Woman Missing' and that they have summoned to find out the whereabouts of the second petitioner and other than that they have not harassed the petitioners. He would also submit that if they appear in person due enquiry will be conducted.

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.2417 of 2020 respondent police is directed to ensure the safety of the petitioners during enquiry.
