ORDER

The petitioner seeks limited relief of a Writ of Mandamus to dispose of the representation, dated 28.08.2023.

2. Considering the scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner has requested for reclassifying the lands as Punja lands instead of Grama Natham lands. The said application has been made by the petitioner wayback on 28.08.2023 and the same is pending on the file of the second respondent.

4. Considering that the second respondent has not passed any orders on the said application, it would suffice to issue a direction to 2/5

the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application for reclassification and consequently, restore the patta in the petitioner's father's name on merits and in accordance with law. The second respondent shall also afford an opportunity by way of personal hearing to the petitioner before passing the final order. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
