ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition to direct the second Respondent to grant the permission and protection to conduct the Kabadi tournament from 23.02.2024 to 24.02.2024 at Fathima Vegetable Market Ground Nagamalai Pudhukottai, Madurai District. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, would submit that if the Petitioner appears before the Respondent Police, there are ready to pass appropriate orders as per the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, in Rc.No.007301/General I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 is in force regarding organizing the events and cultural programme. He also seeks payment of appropriate fee for providing police protection, as per G.O.Ms.No. 139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019.

3. The Petitioner is directed to appear before the Respondent Police. On such appearance, the Respondent Police are directed to dispose of the Petition within a reasonable period of two days.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Writ Petition is disposed of. The Petitioner as well as the organizer of the Kabadi meet shall pay reimbursement of Guard Charges for the Police Personnel as per G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019. No costs.
