ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the representation given by the petitioner, dated 24.11.2025, within the time as fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the land comprised in S.No.190 originally belongs to the Tiruchirappalli Corporation and is classified as Corporation property in the revenue records. It is further submitted that, based on a fraudulent settlement deed created by private individuals without any lawful authority, an SLR correction came to be effected on 24.10.2025 by the Revenue Divisional Officer in respect of the said survey number. Aggrieved by the said illegal and arbitrary correction, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 24.11.2025 to the second respondent, seeking to set aside the SLR correction as null and void and contrary to law. However, despite receipt of the said representation, the second respondent has not taken any action or passed any orders thereon till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No 16.02.2026 smn2 To:- 1.The District Collector, Office of the District Collector, New Collector Office Road,
