ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner is in custody since 25.12.2019 for the offences under Section 5(I), 6, 11(V) and 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, in Crime No.15 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police. Hence, he seeks bail.

3. The defacto complainant is a minor girl studying in school.

4. The prosecution case is that the petitioner followed the victim through social media (Instagram) and had sexual intimacy with her. The victim girl was originally studying in a school at Madurai. CRL OP(MD). No.2432 of 2020 the petitioner and the victim, the victim was shifted to a residential school at Salem. Even thereafter the relationship had continued and the petitioner is said to have spent a night with that girl. As a result, the school had expelled the victim girl from their institution. The conduct of the petitioner has caused serious set back to a girl's life and career. The investigation is still pending. I am therefore not inclined to grant bail and the criminal original petition stands dismissed.
