Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1, 3 and 4 to issue the call letter to the petitioner to participate in the written examination for the post of overseers/JDO (Junior Draughtsman) in Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Tenkasi District as per the notification issued by first respondent in Na.Ka.No.q2/2347/2020 dated 21.12.2020.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.Originally when the petitioner was not issued with the call letter for participating in the written examination for the post of overseers in the third respondent Department, on the ground that B.E (Civil Engineering) graduate would not be eligible, the present writ 1/3
petition came to be filed.
3.Today, when the matter was taken up for admission, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, on written instructions, submitted that pursuant to the clarification issued by the Additional Principal Secretary, the Government of Tamil Nadu, Rural Development and Panchaytat Raj Department, dated 10.02.2021, B.E.(Civil Engineering) graduate would also be eligible to participate in the written examination and call letters are proposed to be sent to such candidates including the petitioner herein. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that the written examination, which was scheduled to be held on 13.02.2021 has been postponed.
4.In view of the clarification issued by the third respondent department, the petitioner's grievance has been considerably met. Hence, no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition.
