Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in respect of the property of vacant land plot No.8 measuring to an extent of 190.74 Sq.Mtr and Plot No.12 measuring to an extent of 161.772 Sq.Mtr and Plot No.5 measuring to an extent of 161.772 Sq.Mtr comprised in Survey No.604/2B2 and Survey No.604/B situated at Kalappa Kulam Panchayat, Kalappa Kulam, Sankaran Kovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, upon considering the application of the petitioner dated 04.01.2022 for issuance of patta within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

*********** This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's application dated 04.01.2022. 2.The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner of the property mentioned in the writ petition. Therefore, he has submitted an application on 04.01.2022 to the respondent seeking for the issuance of patta for the said property. Since the petitioner's application was not considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

3.Heard Mr.S.Arivazhagan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's application dated 04.01.2022 for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the necessary parties including the petitioner.

W.P.[MD]No.2471 of 2022 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 04.01.2022 seeking for the issuance of patta in the property being the vacant land bearing plot No.8 measuring to an extent of 190.74 Sq.Mtr, Plot No.12 measuring to an extent of 161.772 Sq.Mtr and Plot No.5 measuring to an extent of 161.772 Sq.Mtr comprised in Survey No.604/2B2 and Survey No.604/B situated at Kalappa Kulam Panchayat, Kalappa Kulam, Sankaran Kovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the necessary parties, including the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
